Hi, My name is Ian Anthony Clarke. Thank you for visiting my page. Like making friends, networking is all about building relationships, and I am asking YOUR permission to allow me to start the process by telling you about me, my life, my family, my interests, my goals and dreams, failures and successes, and how I can help you in your quest for success and happiness. It is my sincere hope that by sharing our collective stories, we can build a bridge of friendship and thereby help and learn from each other. I have been mentored by some of the industry’s most talented, giving, and successful people and have renewed my commitment to help others, thereby achieving not only financial, but also personal growth…and I can show you how you can do the same. So Here Is My Story I live in British Columbia , Canada with my girl friend and two Miniature Pinschers, Aries & Mimi. I enjoy music, art, architecture and ancient history, but most of all sports namely soccer, where I had a 7 year professional career. I am still active in our local league and work with youth teams & camps in our community. As my soccer career drew to an end I started to look for avenues to continue my growth as a person. My love of architecture and art led me to begin an education in Architectural Drafting and Structural Design. After graduating from college, I started a new career working as a Structural Designer. I enjoyed getting out in the world and meeting people as I found I generally learned more from the people I worked with than from watching the TV. As I progressed in my new career it felt great to see how my leadership and teamwork first attitude was so easily transferred from the soccer field to the workplace. It was also equally satisfying to see how this helped people and how much they appreciated me for it . My Epiphany After working for a few employers, I began to notice a consistency, or trend. Although most of my bosses were very “nice” people, they were ruled by their bottom lines. It was sad to see friends and co-workers laid off when business was lean. I quickly saw that these people had little or no control over their lives, and I determined right then and there that I was going to be different. My Decision I decided I was going to be my own boss: set my own hours, make lots of money, and travel the world! But, I still had to pay the rent, the car payment, the utility company, care for my family… I’m sure you know what I mean. I had to keep income coming in so I continued working my job while I sought out ways of achieving my dream. I’m the CEO A friend had told me about a home business opportunity and invited me to a meeting. There were about 100 people in the room, listening to this very dynamic speaker in front of a large computer screen showing us how we can achieve our financial dreams and help others by simply offering their products and following their duplicatable system. It sounded so easy, so I signed up, and started receiving their products the following week. I was in business! I Jumped Into the System I began working my new business part time. Every evening, I would follow the company’s system: calling friends, family, co-workers, etc. I even had a few home parties on the weekend. I signed up a few friends, but most tried to be cordial and gave me excuses why they could not attend, or were not interested, or could not afford. After my contacts dried up, I spoke with my sponsor who advised me to start buying leads of people who are interested in business opportunities. I did not even know this existed. This had to be the answer: I was sure if people were interested in a business opportunity, I could surely convince them mine was the best. Not Quite There Yet I started spending between $100-$200 per month on leads and calling 40-50 people each night. My results were dismal. I could not even get in contact with about 50% of them, another 25% were annoyed that I called, about 15% hung up on me, and what about the remaining 10%? Most were broke, out of work, or just looking for a handout. After 6 months, I only had a few distributors, and none of us were making any money. The Internet is the Answer…Or Is It? I began seeking answers online, and found a multitude of new opportunities, each one sounding better and easier than the other. Surely, with all of those billions of people online, these opportunities must be real. I tried several, from free ones, to those I spent my hard earned JOB money on, yet, the success that was promised, was somehow still eluding me. My hopes and dreams were fading fast. A Renewed Hope It was about this time that I found Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring and was introduced to Keith S. Winn – Network MLM Pro.
